Most clubs overestimate what their website needs to do on day one. Three things matter most: people need to be able to find you, know how to get in touch, and see reliable basics — your logo, your name, what you’re about — in one trustworthy place instead of scattered across Instagram, WhatsApp and word of mouth.

Everything else comes later: teams, training times, sponsors, a board with several contacts. Not every club needs that right away — but when you do, the page should grow with you instead of forcing you to start over.

Most boards don’t have anyone who builds websites for a living. Hiring an agency quickly costs several thousand euros — often hard to justify for a volunteer-run club. A generic builder like Wix or WordPress is cheaper, but demands time: choosing a layout, building structure, maintaining content.
